立冬（Beginning of Winter）

江水始冰立冬来，

Beginning of Winter sees the icy river. 

大地为冻万物埋。

The earth freezes into the hibernating shiver. 

雉入大水化为蜃，

Into the sea clam, the pheasant turns. 

大雁南飞梅花开。

With plum blossoms, the wild goose southward returns.
